The laser sight is used on the firearms as a tool to enhance targeting of the weapon systems. Being mounted to the underside of a handgun or long arm on the accessory rail, the laser sight will project an aligned beam which is parallel to the barrel and appears as a small spot at long distances; the user then places the spot on the desired target and the barrel of the gun is aligned.
